Even though it was perhaps inevitable with so much on, I apologise for not sending a blog last weekend and if I miss something this time again I am sorry, but let me know and I'll add it!
It is good in many ways to have a weekend with little happening at school. However if I would as Churchwarden give a plug for Ringstead Open Gardens tomorrow, 11am to 5pm - some lovely gardens, lunches, teas...
Then we're back into the last two weeks, including our Bring Your Tent to School Weekend. Full details later in this blog.
Up and down the country Division Eight children will have been doing Common Entrance this week and of course we were no different: although I hope others matched our children's spirit.
In addition, however, we had 14 children and two members of staff visiting York and Hadrian‘s Wall, we launched our new alternative magazine, we organised, and in some cases played in, our ninth Annual Golf Day, we held our Old Aquilian cricket and rounders matches yesterday, some of us were up at 6am to run our regular car boot sale, the Eagle Performers singing and dancing group were in the Hall this morning at 10am rehearsing for the Princess Theatre show and this afternoon Tony Meek and his team will be at Thornham Village Hall to prepare for the children’s ball this evening.
And then we'll all be in tomorrow morning as the oldest children go off on their sports tours and academic work continues for the rest with interludes for Nursery Music, cycling races, Sports Day for Pre-Prep and later for the Prep before on Friday 20 children plus staff go for outdoor pursuits on Friday and over the weekend in the Lake District!
