Match reports – week ending 16.11.18
Match report – under 11’s Rugby versus Fairstead House
We had a strong start and played really well to begin with, but we tailed off a bit towards the end of the first half. We went into half time firmly in the lead. In the second half we let ourselves down and allowed them to catch up easily. We really need to work on supporting each other much more and playing together as a team. The final score was 8 all, with them getting a final try right on the whistle.
Archie gets my man of the match for being super speedy and scoring 3 amazing tries, but Ferdi was incredibly determined in his tackling and never gave up and Edward and Theo were super brave, coming back on and playing hard after getting badly winded.
Under 11s Rugby versus Beeston away
On Wednesday the 14th of November the under 11 boys played a match away at Beeston. We started off well with Ferdi scoring the first try we played very well in the first half. By the beginning of the second half we were drawing 2 all. We were all very tired so we let them get a try. Luckily Ferdi got another try so we were even at three all. With seven minutes to go we were all felling good they then got two tries and it ended 5-3 to them. My man of the match was Ferdi for scoring all the tries, well done this was definitely our best game yet.
Under 9s Rugby
On Friday 16th November Glebe U9’s played a tag rugby match against Beeston, we won the toss and chose to start.
We started off well with a few great runs down the pitch and i would like to mention Matthew and Freddie H for both having lots and lots of runs, at half time it was 5-1 to them with us scoring from Benjy. The second half started well with a try and unfortunately we conceeded some more, but overall this was a great match and Benjy scored the most amazing try I have ever seen because of this try and some great tags and runs my Man of the Match is Benjy.
We need to remember not to lose hope when we concede one or two,but apart from that we all played well and had a great game WELL DONE TEAM.
