Marathon Monday

On Monday 14 October, the whole school buzzed with excitement as pupils from Reception to Division VIII participated in our first-ever RotaKids Marathon Monday.

Organised by the school’s RotaKids Club with the support of Mrs. Bygraves and Mr. Vernon, President of the Hunstanton & District Rotary Club, this event aimed to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The RotaKids did an excellent job organising their first such event, creating a variety of fun physical activities suitable for different age groups. These activities included hopping, doing star jumps, hula hooping, catching balls, stepping up and down, scoring goals, running across the field, and skipping.

We want to congratulate Glebe House Rotakids Club on their amazing achievement both in the organisation of this worthwhile event, and for the amount raised. We’re so proud to support you into the second year of fundraising events. Well done!

The event took place all over the school, using the main hall, gym and outdoor Astro field. Luckily, the weather was nice too, which made the event even more exciting as the Prep classes cheered for their classmates in other year groups out on the Astro.

Each child took home a sponsorship form to collect donations from their family and friends, and thanks to their amazing efforts, they raised an impressive £2,000 to support Macmillan.

This event was a great showcase of the children’s hard work and teamwork, as well as their dedication to a worthy cause. A big congratulations to the RotaKids Club for organising it so well, and to everyone who took part for their amazing efforts and contributions!

Wow, a huge well done to everyone involved and especially the RotaKids Club, we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing supporters like you. Raising an incredible £2,000, could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 10 days, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. We think you’re all amazing, best wishes Romina
