Hannah Searle
Chair of Governors

Profile:
Hannah was appointed to the Governing Board of Glebe House School in October 2022 and assumed the role of Chair of Governors in September 2024. She holds an MBA and has over 20 years’ experience in international business, with a particular focus on strategic business development, marketing and product innovation within the early years and primary education sector.

Hannah’s professional expertise lies in strategic planning, marketing leadership, team management and sustainable growth. She has been closely connected with Glebe House for almost a decade as a parent, with both of her children currently attending the school, and her husband is an Old Aquilian.

Hannah previously served as a co-opted Governor at Hunstanton Primary School for four years and was a member of the Friends of Glebe House School for three years, reflecting her enduring commitment to educational excellence and the school community.

Eric Snaith
Vice Chair of Governors

Profile:
Eric has extensive experience in the hospitality and business sector, having developed and managed a portfolio of successful restaurants and a boutique hotel. His career has given him expertise in strategic planning, financial oversight, staff development, compliance and operational management across complex organisations.

He brings particular strengths in governance, including strategy development, human resources and risk management, with a strong focus on long-term sustainability and community engagement.

Eric has a close connection to Glebe House School as a parent and active supporter of its role within the local community. His perspective as both a parent and governor enables him to contribute with balance and insight.

Alongside his role at Glebe House School Trust, he is involved in wider community and charitable initiatives, particularly supporting local education, sport and youth development.

Richard Desborough
Safeguarding/Child Welfare Governor

Profile:
Richard is a Cyberspace Professional who has served in the Royal Air Force for 23 years. He has been the school’s Safeguarding and Child Welfare Governor for the past two years, bringing extensive experience in leadership and a strong commitment to pupil well-being. Richard has one daughter, Florence, who is currently in Division 8.

Joanna Hammond
EYFS Governor

Profile:
Joanna owned and managed her own nursery school near King’s Lynn for 37 years. She has worked closely with pre-school children and staff throughout her entire working life. Joanna has led both early years educational and safeguarding teams, and has a comprehensive understanding of the early years sector.

Su Mace
Finance Governor

Profile:
Su brings over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, beginning her career in practice where she specialised in auditing charitable organisations and became a partner in a local accountancy firm. She later moved into industry, taking on the role of Head of Finance at a Cambridge-based company, before returning to the education sector as a Governor at Taverham Hall School. During her six-year tenure she served on the Finance and General Purposes Committee and supported the school’s restructuring as Interim Finance Director.

With a longstanding interest in the Independent Schools sector, Su is now a member of Glebe House School’s Finance Committee, where she contributes her financial expertise to support the school’s continued development.

Katie Shelton-Innes
Revenue Development Governor

Profile:
Katie has over 20 years as a finance professional. She is a qualified accountant and has worked in banking specialising in fund raising, IPOs and advising companies on growth. She has her own advisory firm, Albert Capital and also sits on a number of Boards as a non executive director focused on audit and corporate governance.

She works alongside the Headmaster and the other Governors focused on revenue projects and fundraising to improve the facilities for the school, along with other financial projects. Katie is an Old Aquillian (St Edmunds) attending Glebe House School 1987-1993, and recently moved back to the local area to send her daughter to Glebe. Katie is also the Treasurer for Friends of Glebe House School.

Allison Skipper
Education Governor

Profile:

Allison brings over 35 years of experience in education, beginning her career as a teacher across EYFS and Key Stages 1–3 before moving into senior leadership roles for more than two decades. From 2003 to 2013 she was Head of Pre-Prep at Glebe House School, later joining Taverham Hall (now Langley School), where she continues to work part-time as an Early Years Advisor. Beyond her school leadership, Allison is an Early Years Coordinating Inspector and Reporting Inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate, as well as a consultant for the Independent Association of Prep Schools.

In February 2025 she joined the Governing Body of Glebe House School, supporting compliance and the wider educational journey of pupils. With a career-long commitment to Early Years, she remains closely connected to Glebe’s community and dedicated to helping the school continue to thrive.
