Support for Looked-After and Previously Looked-After Children

At Glebe House School and Nursery, every child is valued, known and supported to reach their full potential. We are especially mindful of the needs of Looked-After and Previously Looked-After Children (LAC and PLAC), who may require additional care, understanding and encouragement to help them thrive.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), who also serves as the Designated Teacher for Looked-After Children, provides dedicated oversight for these pupils. Working closely with carers, social workers, local authorities and Virtual School Heads, the DSL ensures that the right support is in place, including the development and review of Personal Education Plans (PEPs) where appropriate.

Through warm relationships, individualised pastoral care and close communication with families and professionals, Glebe House School and Nursery aims to offer each child a sense of belonging, stability and the opportunity to flourish in every aspect of school life.
