Division II recently embarked on an educational trip to Langham Glass as part of their Science topic on materials.
Accompanied by Mrs. Maud, Ms. Rose, and Miss Richardson, the pupils traveled by school minibus for a day full of hands-on learning.
The children were fascinated as they watched skilled craftspeople create beautiful glass pieces, including a Christmas robin, right before their eyes. They also witnessed molten glass being blown into a balloon, which ended with a surprising pop!
This trip reinforced their classroom learning, allowing them to see the glass-making process up close. Mrs. Maud was thrilled to see how well the pupils remembered key concepts from their lessons.
We love to make the most of the fantastic learning opportunities right on our doorstep and this local trip was a perfect blend of science and real-world experience. A big thank you to Langham Glass Ltd for such an engaging and informative visit!
