On Monday, October 7th, 2024, the school came together for a heartwarming Harvest Festival assembly led by Mrs Haslam.
The children brought in their dry goods donations for the Hunstanton and District Food Bank, and it was wonderful to see the generous amount of donations highlighting the kindness of our pupils and their families. The donations were neatly arranged by Division VIII Outreach Prefects Keira and Nico, who took the lead in collecting and displaying the contributions. Well done Keira and Nico!
Mrs Haslam then shared her insights on the various meanings of harvest and thanksgiving celebrated worldwide as well as highlighting the Food Bank’s vital role in supporting local communities. Following her talk, the children performed traditional hymns alongside modern songs, celebrating the significance of food, the harvest and the act of giving thanks.
The Prep children added a nature-inspired touch to the Dining Hall for the Harvest Lunch, working together in their house teams to decorate with vibrant autumn foliage and foods in their house colours. This lovely display showcased their creativity and reflected the spirit of teamwork, community, and the value of generosity and gratitude at this time of year.
