I hope you are all enjoying a day outside with the family today - hopefully it won't be the last of the year!

Nine members of the school choir from Divisions VI, VII & VIII attended the tenth annual Choral Day at King's School Ely on Tuesday. They joined 280 children from a total of thirteen other schools for a truly inspirational day led by Dominic Peckham, one of the UK's finest, young, dynamic conductors and choral specialists.

May I start by thanking the Parents' Committee for a highly enjoyable 'Frog Racing' Night on Friday ? I hope this was a good opportunity for parents to chat over a drink and to enjoy their children (and some adults) racing 'frogs'. It was primarily a social event, but I was very pleased that Ethan Newton-Walters and Jonny Goode ran a Glebe Trading Company stall, selling mainly frog related products. They raised £80 profit and have kindly donated this to Macmillan Cancer Support, our School Charity for 2017.

I hope that the school year has started happily and that yours was a restful summer holiday.

It seems little time since we were celebrating all that we achieved last year, but I'm sure we are ready for another great year and I wish much success to those who left us at the end of the year.
